is church necessary?

I was in Church this morning and thought of you--LOL-- I was reading the bulletin thing and it talks about all the going ons in the Church. Well they were saying in one article on how for donatations they can do an automatic transfer from your bank account instead of having to write a physical check.
That is extremely sad because its like saying don't bother showing up but just give us your money. It's bad enough during the collection time of the Mass they have people walk down the rows with a basket that they shove in your face expecting you to give money. It's not really annoymous either which compeltely takes away from the dignity of donating money.
So anyway, hope your holiday was great!

I completely understand!! I'm not big on the whole Church thing, maybe cuz I went to Catholic school for 13 years and it was always forced on me.
The craziest thing is that you see people praising God with all their life in Church, then you seem them cursing off and screaming and yelling in the parking lot and then the next day doing something against the Religion.
I don't understand why people should sit in Church, kneeling or standing professing their love when they could be out doing better things. According to every religion teacher I've ever had, if you skip Church to go work at a soup kitchen to help the poor, you are still going to hell for missing Church.
It's so insane. I tend to think of it as a cult. (I dont mean to offend anyone!) You have to believe every single thing or your going to hell.
I only go because my parents make us only on Christmas and Easter.
I'll defintitly have to write an entry about this in my diary because it's definitly something that I think about.

I feel you when you say that god is everywhere. But I think that the reason that we have church is to "remember the sabth day" and going to church on a sunday is a way of remembering and prasing him...Well that's what I think Thialy [thialy]

Alyssa, I believe that this is just confirmation of your feelings for him. You said that those feelings you felt were so real and that is because they were. In the back of your mind you know you worry about the possibility of that happening and it was only a matter of time before it surfaced. The fact that it felt like the world has ended just shows me that your love for him is very deep and nothing can change that. I know it may be too early to say this, but I truly believe that this relationship between Lenin and yourself has been written in the heavens.
